I'm in Turkey!
The views, the weather, everything is amazing.
Landing here was like a dream.
The only problem is that basically everyone here smokes. Otherwise, I love it here. xP
I wake up to a view of the Black Sea and seeing my uncles, aunts, and cousins. Being in a small town, they know almost everyone, so it's home to them. Almost everyone here knows everyone else, just imagine the drama. (LOL) You could never find this much warmth in an American town.
When I landed in Istanbul, I didn't think I had missed Turkey much. It all felt like a dream. When I walked out of the plane, that's when I knew it was real. I have no recollection of the events of my last trip because it was only 2 weeks long, so that means the last time I remember I was in Turkey was my freshman going on sophmore year of high school meaning the last time I came here was about 5 years ago. Crazy right?
Despite the love I have for Turkey, I'm pretty homesick. Home is where the heart is and it seems like I love my home so much that I can't wait to get back to Texas. xD Everything in Turkey tastes different, including Burger King. I have a hard time drinking milk so I avoid it here. I've been used to the white watery substance that I drink every day in the United States that I can't drink the real thing here. (LOL.) My taste buds have been tainted basically. xP That's okay though because oreos still taste good with Turkish tea. (:
Since I'm typing this up on my phone, I need to attach pictures in a different way. I hope they attach for real so you can see the beautiful views I see. (: I'll share more pictures with all of you so you can have a small taste of Turkey from me. (:
