Talk about Spring Cleaning but in the Fall!
I completely forgot that this blog existed. It's been HOW LONG since I even though about it. I don't even remember what I was doing in 2016.
It is officially the end of my summer internship and the beginning of another school year. I am entering my senior-ish year of Mechanical Engineering and God knows how hard I had to worked for it.
I looked back and found my first post when I first switched my major to Mechanical and how I applied for "A LOT" of internships. 😆 What a way to end that year with a bang. For the record by the way, I did not get a single internship from any of the 200 or so companies I applied for that year. I worked for a company where I spent the whole summer scraping, caulking, and painting a field office space. What a legit way to start my time as an engineer! I have no regrets though. It was a learning experience and I am so thankful for what everyone does. EVERYONE. I even love the lady who hands me my McDonald's Steak, Egg, and Cheese Bagel with my Caramel Frappe and everything she does just because no matter how simple the task, we need to remember that it isn't really easy. Customer service is probably the hardest job there ever is because no one is thankful for what they have these days...
ANYWAY, sidetracked a little there. The point is to get to where I am now, I had to go through some hurdles and I honestly believe that I am getting closer and closer to being even just a little successful on my terms. I interned with the SECOND (shout out to my friends that worked at the first here) best chem company in the world and had the most incredible experiences. This will have to be a story for another time though because I've probably already bored all of y'all, haha! 😝
I'm going to get real in my next post, keep an eye out y'all...
